How do I edit my Community Profile?
Editing your Community Profile is simple, and it helps other members know who you are in our community.
1. Go to your Community Profile
Click the link to navigate to your profile.
If you're already on your Community Profile page, you can skip this step.
2. Click 'Edit profile'
In the toolbar at the top of your profile page, you’ll see an 'Edit profile' button. Click it to open the profile form.
3. Update your details
In the profile form, you’ll see a few fields you can fill in:
Display name – this is the name shown publicly in various places, like your profile title. It must be different to your username.
Account handle (@name) – this is the name shown next to posts you create. It is used for mentions, which means other members can type @handle to notify you in a discussion. It is also used in the link to your profile (for example /member/handle) so if you change your account handle, the link to your profile will also change. Pick something fun and recognisable!
Email - this is the email address associated with your account and used for email notifications.
Avatar - you can upload a picture of yourself, if you'd like.
About me – here is where you can share a little about yourself or your interests.
Website – this is the link to your personal website or blog.
Occupation - you can list your job or profession.
Social networks – you can add the links to your social profiles.
Location - you can select where you live.
Timezone - you can select your timeszone.
Password - you can change your password using these fields. Leave them blank if you do not wish to change it.
Note: Most of this info is visible to community members on your profile page, but your Email and Password are never shared.
4. Save your changes
Scroll down and click 'Save changes' to update your profile.
