I am new to forums - how do they work?
Forums are online spaces where people with shared interests can start conversations, ask questions, and exchange advice. Here’s how it works in our community:
- Boards (or categories)
Our team divides the forum into boards (e.g., Pregnancy, Newborns) to help keep conversations organised.
- Topics (or subcategories)
Inside each board, there are multiple topics. Each one is focussed around a particular subject.
- Posts
Members can start a new discussion by creating a post within a topic. This is where you share your thoughts, questions, or experiences. Other members can then reply, and each reply is also called a post.
- Community Guidelines
Everyone follows the same set of rules (like being respectful and keeping content family-friendly) to make sure the space is safe and supportive.
- Moderators
Our team actively participates in discussions, and ensures guidelines are followed.
👉 In short: Think of the forum as a collection of conversations grouped by subject — you can either start a new discussion or join an existing one by posting a reply.
